My work and research consists mainly of site specific performances and interventions documented with photographs, drawing, and found objects. I am interested in how we use the landscape, what we leave behind, and how that contributes to our understanding of place.
I studied a BA in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee between 2004 - 2008, and MFA Art, Society, and Publics again at DJCAD, in 2016/17. I run my studio from Dundee.
I have worked on a variety of projects and exhibitions over the last few years, including Lines Lost / Slow Marathon with Deveron Arts in Huntly between 2013 -15, and Open Dialogues at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh in 2014, which was part of the GENERATION programme.
In 2015 I was resident at Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre On North Uist as part of the project Broad Reach, run by Atlas Arts on Skye. The work from this residency was shown at the Royal Scottish Academy in the Summer of 2017.
This website is an attempt to archive and index the projects, exhibitions, performances, and talks that I have done in the past few years. You can follow me on Twitter @stuartmcadam or email me on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me about my work if you are interested in what I do.
